‘Unacceptable’: Transit head says after assault on 2 staff waking up sleeping subway passenger

Metropolitan Transportation Authority officers are expressing their outrage after two MTA employees within the Bronx had been attacked by a passenger who hit them with a scooter, in line with the NYPD.

The assault occurred round 1 a.m. Tuesday morning when the suspect hit one sufferer within the face when he tried to wake him up, police stated. The suspect then hit a second worker within the hand injuring him whereas he was attempting to intervene, in line with police.

The alleged attacker ran southbound in the direction of the Baychester subway station and had not been apprehended.

Each staff had been taken to the hospital in steady situation.
