Beginning this weekend, United will cancel 35 roundtrip flights per day from its Newark schedule, United CEO Scott Kirby mentioned in a letter to prospects.

3 times this week, flights by Newark confronted vital delays for a mixture of points, compounded by ongoing runway development on the airport.

The FAA has skilled tools points at its Philadelphia TRACON heart, which helps manages the airspace round Newark Liberty, inflicting delays for passengers. The FAA mentioned it has additionally had air controller staffing shortages.

“Unfortunately, the technology issues were compounded as over 20% of the FAA controllers for EWR walked off the job.
