Two NYPD officers fired their weapons at a gun-wielding suspect within the Bronx, with one of many pictures placing the person in the leg, in keeping with legislation enforcement.
The officers had been known as to the scene on White Plains Highway within the Soundview neighborhood after 3:30 p.m., police stated, after reviews of a battle with a firearm. After they arrived, the officers encountered the suspect, who took out a gun.
Each officers fired, placing the suspect one time within the leg, in keeping with police. The suspect, who has not been recognized, was taken to Jacobi Hospital and is anticipated to outlive.
A gun was recovered on the scene. The 2 officers had been handled for tinnitus on the hospital.
An investigation was ongoing.
