Northwell Well being and the city of North Hempstead shall be providing free pores and skin most cancers screenings at city parks and swimming pools and can present free solar display at those self same places and city seashores.

“Obviously prevention is the best medicine,” stated North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena on the city’s Manorhaven Seashore park and pool.

A Northwell Well being dermatologist will conduct the most cancers screenings inside a cell van. That van will go to a number of city parks on Wednesdays in July.

“It’s much easier to treat skin cancer when it’s caught early and we’re grateful to provide that opportunity,” stated dermatologist Dr. Silvija Gottesman.
