New Queens memorial will honor service members who served after 9/11

A brand new monument is coming to New York Metropolis that can honor navy members who served within the armed forces after Sept. 11, 2001.

The memorial known as “Flames of Honor” and might be positioned alongside the waterfront in Whitestone, Queens, to honor those that served within the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and who helped goal ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists.

Greater than 7,000 US troops had been killed within the preventing in Afghanistan and Iraq, together with 99 from the 5 boroughs. Queens has the biggest variety of post-9/11 veterans of any NYC borough.
