Two males disguised as development staff walked right into a midtown Manhattan jewellery retailer armed with hammers and tried to drag off a daring smash-and-grab heist, in accordance with regulation enforcement sources.

The incident was captured on surveillance video from the shop on the nook of East 53rd Avenue and Madison Avenue round 2 p.m. Wednesday, regulation enforcement sources stated.

One man entered the store and held the door open for the opposite man, sporting a yellow development vest and a blue surgical masks. The second man walked as much as a show case, took out a hammer and commenced smashing the glass as he tried to get the high-end watches inside, in accordance with regulation enforcement sources.

A safety guard appeared moments later, video confirmed, forcing the would-be robber to take off with nothing. Each males ran up Madison Avenue; police had been looking for them Wednesday night.

Nobody was harm within the tried heist. The shop was briefly closed within the aftermath of the incident, however was set to reopen Thursday.
