Longtime Stamford police officer arrested following home incident

A Stamford police officer has been arrested on a number of prices stemming from a home incident on Wednesday.

The police division mentioned Officer Gregory Zach faces prices together with a number of counts of threatening, assault, disorderly conduct and strangulation.

The police officer has been employed with the Stamford Police Division since July 2005.

Authorities mentioned Zach is at present on administrative go away. He was launched on a $10,000 bond and he appeared in court docket on Thursday.

“The Stamford Police Department takes allegations of domestic violence very seriously and we will continue to work with and support the victim in this matter,” Police Chief Timothy Shaw mentioned in an announcement.
