Jeep driver dies in NYPD shootout at House Depot car parking zone

Two NYPD officers have been taken to a hospital in secure situation after a shootout with an armed man in a Jeep on Staten Island Thursday, authorities say. The suspect was shot by police and died.

Officers responded to a name a few man with a gun on the House Depot car parking zone on Veterans Street West in Tottenville round 5:20 a.m., in response to the preliminary investigation. They discovered a person in a Jeep with a gun.

They are saying he shot at them after they arrived. Officers fired again, placing the person.

He was taken to a hospital and later pronounced useless. His identification wasn’t instantly identified.

The officers appeared to have been taken to a hospital as a precaution. They weren’t hit by gunfire.

The scene confirmed indicators of chaos, with procuring carts overturned on the pavement as authorities investigated.

No different particulars on the circumstances have been instantly out there Thursday morning. The NYPD was anticipated to offer updates later Thursday. The realm was closed via a lot of the morning.
