Crowds at a Connecticut seashore carnival started operating from the realm after somebody set free a pungent prank.

Fairfield police stated a gaggle of youngsters used a “flatulence spray” close to the exit of the McKinley Carnival on Jennings Seaside inflicting crowds to run from the realm.

In a submit on social media, the police division wished to reassure the general public who could have seen folks operating that it was a prank.

“We want to assure everyone that despite rumors circulating online, there were no weapons, no physical altercations, and no injuries reported at any time,” the submit stated. Police stated the prank was repeated a number of occasions through the evening.

It began with small teams screaming and operating adopted by a bigger response the place others started operating with out realizing the trigger, police stated.

Officers have been on scene earlier than the incident offering security patrols on the carnival.

In response to a query on social media asking if there have been any “repercussions” for the folks concerned within the prank, the police stated, “fortunately no one was injured, and our main priority at the time was ensuring a safe egress for all carnival attendees.”
