New Yorkers could quickly see their first measurable snow of the season this weekend.
An Alberta Clipper system will probably be transferring by the area Friday bringing a mixture of rain and snow to the tri-state between Friday morning and early Saturday morning.
Clippers normally aren’t moisture-laden, so we don’t anticipate large accumulations (of both rain or snow). It’ll be an all-snow occasion in our northwestern excessive elevation zones.
Nearer to the coast, we’ll see primarily rain till early Saturday morning, when temperatures dip to freezing and we COULD get a last burst of sunshine snow that would add as much as a dusting.
General, this must be a low-impact occasion for us each when it comes to timing and depth.
This weekend, the frigid air will settle in. You’ll want your warmest parkas from Saturday to Monday.
By Tuesday, we’ll begin to heat up once more.
