A father and son have each died after a theft at a Groton financial institution and a standoff at a motel in Groton hours later final Thursday, in line with police.

The investigation began at 10:32 a.m. Thursday when Groton police had been contacted a couple of theft on the Chelsea Groton Financial institution at 1319 Gold Star Freeway.

They realized that two males who had been carrying medical masks inferred a weapon and handed a word to a teller, demanding money, then left in a car after getting cash, in line with police.
