Saturday’s sport between the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees was postponed due to heavy rain and the forecast of sustained inclement climate.
The postponement was introduced about 3 1/2 hours earlier than Saturday’s unique first pitch and shall be made up as a part of a straight doubleheader on Sunday.
Max Fried will oppose Toronto’s Kevin Gausman on Sunday within the first sport. The unique pitching matchup for Sunday — Clarke Schmidt towards Toronto’s Chris Bassitt — will go within the second sport.
The Blue Jays snapped a five-game dropping streak by scoring three runs within the ninth inning off struggling nearer Devin Williams in Friday’s 4-2 victory.
