Fairfield police have filed extra prices in opposition to a psychiatrist who’s accused of sexually assaulting sufferers in his care.

Police initially arrested Lazaro Pomeraniec, of Westport, on June 24 and charged him with fourth-degree sexual assault.

They mentioned he voluntarily surrendered his medical license after he was arrested.

On the time of the arrest, authorities requested anybody who might need been a sufferer to name the Fairfield Police Particular Victims Unit at 203-254-4804.

On Monday, Fairfield police arrested Pomeraniec on further prices. They mentioned he has been charged with two further counts of fourth-degree sexual assault stemming from two separate incidents involving folks underneath his psychiatric care.

One of many incidents had been reported and was underneath investigation earlier than Pomeraniec’s preliminary arrest, in line with Fairfield police.

He was issued a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to seem in courtroom on Aug. 8.

He’s due in courtroom on the preliminary cost on Aug. 22, in line with on-line courtroom data.
