10-year-old boy with ties to Connecticut reportedly dies from abuse in Florida

A ten-year-old boy with ties to Connecticut has reportedly died from accidents investigators say he sustained from being abused. He was residing in Florida along with his organic mom and her boyfriend, who are going through expenses in connection to his loss of life.

Investigators mentioned Kimberly Mills and a person introduced a 10-year-old into an emergency room in Tavares, Florida on Feb. 22, 2025. The kid was reportedly coated with bruises and burns and was handled by medical workers.

The docs initially mentioned the boy was in vital situation they usually weren’t certain if he was going to outlive. He was airlifted to an one other hospital for extra care and later died of his accidents.

Mills was charged with aggravated little one abuse. The person, later recognized by police as Andre Walker is Mills’ boyfriend, based on authorities.

“This innocent child’s life was marked by unspeakable suffering, and his loss has deeply shaken our community and everyone involved in this case,” Tavares police mentioned in an announcement.

“As the investigation continues, the Tavares Police Department is working closely with the State Attorney’s Office to enhance the charges against Kimberley Mills and Andre Walker. We remain steadfast in our commitment to securing justice for this child and ensuring accountability for the heinous acts committed,” the assertion continued.

Mills is believed to have beforehand lived in Connecticut with the kid and the kid’s organic father nonetheless lives in Connecticut. 

Mills and Walker have each pleaded not responsible.
