Trump Tower was shut all the way down to guests Wednesday afternoon after a protester spray-painted the letters “U.S.A.” over a seal bearing the title of President Donald Trump.

A protester from the Extinction Insurrection strode into Trump Tower on fifth Avenue simply after midday on April 23 and spray-painted the letters in inexperienced over the round 45 signal within the foyer full of vacationers. The perpetrator then crouched and held a material signal studying “game over.”

Not everybody was a fan of the stunt. “I hope they take you downstairs and beat your a**,” one particular person stated as he was whisked away.

Fellow protesters tried to clean the graffiti away however have been stopped by safety, who introduced that the constructing could be shut down. NYPD cops and tower staff ushered vacationers out of the constructing earlier than locking it down.

“I was standing in line to take a picture, it’s ridiculous,” Jeff from Missouri instructed New York News. “There is a lot of division in this country, a lot of whining — it is what it is.”

In the meantime the arrested protester launched a press release, revealing that detachable chalk was used within the vandalism, and carried out the act as a result of he’s an “American.”

“I did this because I am an American. It is my duty to stand up for my country, and my Earth, when a government becomes destructive of our right to Life,” the protestor stated. “Donald Trump and the regime of private interests he works for-who donate equally to each party—are destructive of your inalienable right to Life. All American political parties are equally complicit in inaction which has brought us to this point. Switching to blue is not the solution. Kamala Harris’ climate platform was fracked gas, much deadlier than regular. Decades of inaction have brought about the current climate catastrophe.”
