The search is constant on Thursday morning for a 6-year-old boy who fell from a ship ramp into the Housatonic River in Stratford on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities stated that their investigation is now a restoration mission.
“Nicely, sadly, it’s, it’s a restoration difficulty right now,” Captain Jerry Pinto, of Stratford Police, stated.
“We’re hopeful that we, discover the boy immediately,” he stated.
Police stated the little boy was strolling on the Birdseye Boat Ramp when he fell into the river round 1:30 p.m.
A United Illuminating worker jumped into the river to attempt to save him, however the little one has not been discovered.
Crews from Stratford, Bridgeport, Fairfield, Westport, Shelton, Trumbull, Guilford, Monroe, Connecticut State Police and the Coast Guard all responded and have been trying to find the kid.
Boats, jet skis, drones, dive groups and a helicopter have been all introduced in to help within the search, in line with the Stratford Police Division.
They stated a Coast Guard cutter and the Stratford Fireplace Marine unit continued looking on Wednesday night time and the Stratford Fireplace Division is reassembling a command put up on the Birdseye Boat Ramp to restart the search efforts on Thursday morning.
