An 18-year-old from Ridgefield was killed in an accident involving a log splitter, in accordance with police.
The incident occurred Wednesday night simply over the state line in South Salem, New York.
Officers responded to a house there round 6:30 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive particular person.
In line with New York State Police, Brandon Gmelin, of Ridgefield, was trying to maneuver a log splitter that had been delivered to the property for landscaping work.
In some unspecified time in the future, the tools started to roll down a sloped space and struck Gmelin, state police stated.
He was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
Police stated there aren’t any indicators of foul play. Their investigation is continuous.
