Professional-Palestine college students compelled their approach into Barnard School’s Milbank Corridor on Wednesday and allegedly assaulted a workers member, legislation enforcement sources reported.

Dozens of mask-wearing college students laid siege to the corridor on Feb. 26 throughout a protest over current expulsions from the varsity. Sources stated the group grew to become violent and charged into the power, assaulting a workers member so badly that the person was despatched to an area hospital.

All through Wednesday night time, the band of protesters occupied Milbank Corridor and refused quite a few requests to depart.

The group posted a listing of calls for to the Columbia College students for Justice in Palestine X account, together with asking for amnesty for all concerned and the expulsion reversal of two college students who disputed a category on Israeli historical past.

The college demanded all college students depart by 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night time or face “additional, necessary measures to protect our campus,” a Barnard spokesperson stated.

The scholars left the corridor simply earlier than 11 p.m. Wednesday and headed for Riverside Park, carrying a big banner and chanting with a megaphone.
