Six of the candidates working within the 2025 NYC mayoral race towards Eric Adams will talk about their plans for main New York Metropolis throughout a bilingual discussion board hosted by Rev. Kirsten John Foy this Saturday.

The bilingual discussion board, co-sponsored by Schneps Media, may have the theme “Tearing Down Walls.” Foy—president and CEO of The Arc of Justice—and US Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-Manhattan/Bronx) will ask candidates questions on connecting with the Huge Apple’s sizable Latino group.

Foy advised New York News Metro that the bilingual discussion board goals to attach the group to the mayoral candidates and spark discourse over hot-button points like town’s sanctuary metropolis standing, affordability, public well being and security.

“In this time of great peril and uncertainty, it is ever more critical that we as a city understand the stakes and respect and protect our neighbors who are particularly vulnerable to aggressive and dehumanizing policies coming out of Washington,” Foy stated. “This first-of-its-kind bilingual forum will accomplish three goals: first, connecting the community to those that seek to lead our city; second, enabling and embellishing the public discourse around kitchen table issues like New York City’s Sanctuary City Status, affordability, public health and safety and education to name a few; and finally, to affirm the largely immigrant and bilingual community of Washington Heights’ right to reside, redress grievances and remain a vibrant and productive contributor to the fabric of our city, state and nation. No matter our lands of origins we are all New Yorkers!”

Metropolis Comptroller Brad Lander, his predecessor Scott Stringer, state Sens. Zellnor Myrie (D-Brooklyn) and Jessica Ramos (D-Queens), Meeting Member Zohran Mamdani (D-Queens), and former Bronx Meeting Member Michael Blake are all scheduled to attend.

Nonetheless, Mayor Adams won’t be in attendance.

The occasion will happen on the nonprofit Direccion de Cultural Dominicans del Exterior at 2406 Amsterdam Ave. in Washington Heights on Saturday, March 1. The venue is about two blocks east of the 181st Avenue station on the 1 line. Doorways open at 11:30 a.m.
