Amtrak service can also be suspended between New York (NYP) and Philadelphia (PHL) because of the “overhead wire damage.” Amtrak stated.

“Trains operating between Philadelphia Gray 30th St (PHL) and New York Moynihan Train Hall are currently stopped due to overhead wire damage. All trains scheduled to operate in the area are expected to be delayed. As of now, we do not have an estimated time of repair. Crews are addressing this issue. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience as we work through this unexpected situation,” Amtrak stated in an advisory.
