A New Jersey man was arrested after threatening a aircraft’s crew and a baby with a incapacity, then banging on the cockpit door, whereas aboard a flight to Newark Airport, based on regulation enforcement.

Luis Vaquero, of Passaic County, was taking a flight from Miami on Sunday when he began threatening and harassing fellow passengers shortly after takeoff, the U.S. Lawyer’s Workplace for New Jersey stated in a press launch Monday. The 27-year-old made threats to bodily hurt a baby after which mocked a gaggle of Jewish passengers, based on prosecutors.

Vaquero additionally threatened a flight attendant who wouldn’t serve him alcohol after they stopped serving drinks, based on regulation enforcement. He allegedly advised the crew member, “You higher be careful, s***’s gonna occur to you.”

Flight attendants alerted regulation enforcement concerning the man after the aircraft landed at Newark Worldwide Airport. As soon as Vaquero heard an announcement that the flight crew was ready for police to reach, he compelled his method to the entrance of the plane and started to pound on the door to the flight deck, demanding the pilot discuss to him.

A flight attendant tried to step in, however Vaquero yelled, saying he would “really break your f*****g jaw,” prosecutors stated.

The captain did ultimately depart the cockpit, and Vaquero continued to threaten him whereas getting near his face.

Police arrived shortly after, and Vaquero was arrested. He faces fees together with interfering with flight crew members and attendants by assault or intimidation, prosecutors stated. If convicted, he faces as much as 20 years in jail.

“Vaquero lost his temper and physically harassed not only the crew and captain, but passengers, making threats of physical violence,” stated Appearing Particular Agent in Cost Terence G.
