An individual that sustained severe accidents throughout an assault at an assisted residing facility in New London has died, police stated.
New London cops and EMS responded to an residence at 179 Colman St. round 10:15 p.m. on July 7 to analyze a report {that a} man was unconscious.
They stated the person, who was not responsive, had sustained facial trauma and he was he taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital to be handled for severe accidents.
On Friday, police stated the person died from accidents sustained within the assault.
Earlier this week, police arrested 28-year-old Matthew Ellis and charged him with first-degree assault.
Ellis is a resident of the assisted residing facility, police stated.
Police stated the assault didn’t look like a random act.
