A suspect is in custody accused of fatally stabbing two folks and injuring a 3rd throughout three completely different places in Manhattan on Monday morning, legislation enforcement sources inform NBC New York.

Police imagine the suspect was answerable for a stabbing spree throughout Manhattan beginning early Monday morning earlier than he was arrested by officers, sources say.

Police mentioned the primary stabbing occurred at 8:22 a.m. on West nineteenth Avenue in Chelsea when a person stabbed a 30-year-old man within the stomach. The sufferer was taken to Bellevue Hospital the place he was pronounced useless.

A second stabbing occurred at thirtieth Avenue and FDR Dr. in Kipps Bay the place a 67-year-old man was stabbed by a suspect and later was pronounced useless, police mentioned.

A 3rd stabbing occurred later Monday morning when a lady was attacked at forty second Avenue and 1st Ave, police mentioned. The lady is believed to be in important situation.

The motive for the stabbings is unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
