Council Member Virginia Maloney led a rally at Metropolis Corridor Park calling for the passage of the Equal Rights Modification.

Led by Council Member Virginia Maloney, the NYC Council Ladies’s Caucus held a rally in Metropolis Corridor Park on March 10, urging Congress to go the Equal Rights Modification.

The ERA, first drafted in 1923, aimed to legalize equal rights for People. In keeping with the Nationwide Archives, the invoice sought an finish to authorized distinctions between the sexes by way of divorce, property, employment and different issues.
