The teenage son of former New York Yankees star Brett Gardner seems to have died by asphyxiation after presumably having gotten sick from consuming one thing throughout a household trip in Costa Rica, authorities within the Central American nation mentioned Monday.
Miller Gardner, 14, apparently died by asphyxia “after a possible intoxication after apparently ingesting some food,” an official with Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigative Company instructed NBC Information.
Miller’s physique was discovered Friday in a resort room in Manuel Antonio, a well-liked resort space on the nation’s Pacific Coast, mentioned the official, Juan Pablo Alvarado Garcia.

In a press release Sunday, Miller’s mother and father mentioned their son died after he fell ailing with a number of different members of the family. He died peacefully in his sleep, they mentioned within the assertion.
“Miller was a beloved son and brother and we cannot yet comprehend our life without his infectious smile,” the assertion says. “He loved football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, his family and his friends. He lived life to the fullest every single day.”
Gardner, an outfielder, spent his 14-season profession with the Yankees. He helped the group win the World Collection in 2009, one 12 months after his MLB debut.
