Deemitri Figueroa used to like college. Now, he dreads it.

The 12-year-old from New Jersey mentioned he been relentlessly bullied by a selected group of children a lot, he’s scared to go to high school each day.

“I cry myself to sleep, I don’t feel safe at all going to school,” Deemitri mentioned.

He and the boys he mentioned have been bullying him are all within the sixth grade at Thomas Jefferson Center College in Truthful Garden. Deemitri mentioned he was once pals with the children who are actually making his life depressing.

His mom, Anna, mentioned it began when her son ended a friendship with one of many boys. That boy began harassing him, and Deemitri mentioned that very same youngster later attacked him at Berdan Grove Park.

“He put me in a headlock and I started choking and I started trying to gasp for air,” Deemitri instructed NBC New York. “He started throwing punches and kicking then he grabbed me and he body slammed me to the ground…I hit directly on my head.”

His mom mentioned she tried to speak to the opposite boy’s dad and mom, nevertheless it did no good.

“I tried reaching out to the parents and they tried to turn the tables to say their son is innocent and my son is the problem,” mentioned Anna Khomuk.

She was assured the college would separate the boys and preserve Deemitri protected, however she says little has modified. Now she simply desires her son transferred to the opposite center college on the town.

“This is a never-ending nightmare. I just want this to stop. I don’t want the backlash, I just want someone to hear that this is a cry for help,” mentioned Khomuk.

The district superintendent didn’t instantly reply when requested if Deemitri could be transferred. The boy’s mom mentioned her subsequent step could be to file legal prices.
