A second Columbia College scholar concerned with final 12 months’s protests has been arrested by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement brokers with Homeland Safety Investigations, whereas one other had her scholar visa revoked and self-deported, the Division of Homeland Safety stated Friday.

Columbia College could not instantly be reached for remark.

DHS says the opposite scholar, a citizen of India, entered the U.S. on an F-1 scholar visa as a doctoral scholar in city planning at Columbia, allegedly received concerned in actions supporting “Hamas.”

Her visa was revoked earlier this month. DHS says it has video exhibiting her use the CBP app to self-deport lower than every week later.

“It’s a privilege to be granted a visa to reside and research in the USA of America,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement. “Whenever you advocate for violence and terrorism that privilege must be revoked, and also you shouldn’t be on this nation.”
