A person was killed following an explosion aboard a ship docked alongside the Hudson River in Manhattan on Saturday morning, two regulation enforcement sources mentioned.
The incident was reported close to the North River Wastewater Therapy Plant close to West 138th Road round 10:30 a.m., in response to the U.S. Coast Guard and NYPD. The FDNY was additionally responding.
The employee was reportedly welding on board the boat, operated by the Division of Environmental Safety, when some kind of explosion occurred.
There have been no different accidents reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
