A number of dozen Amazon packages had been found apparently deserted within the woods of Lakeville, Massachusetts, early Sunday morning, days earlier than Christmas, police stated.

Officers collected them and returned the parcels to Amazon, in response to the division, which stated that the driving force recognized themselves and will not be going through prices, citing stress for dumping the packages.

Three totes of Amazon packages had been discovered within the woods in Lakeville, Massachusetts, over the weekend.

Officers loaded them into pickup vehicles to get them again to the station.

With no current studies of stolen packages on the town, investigators opted to return them to the distribution heart in Middleborough.

“I am proud of the way our Lakeville Police officers handled and investigated this matter. At this time, we are not seeking criminal charges and are considering this a human resources matter for Amazon,” Perkins stated in a second assertion.

Amazon confirmed to NBC10 Boston that every one the orders have been reprocessed and both have been redelivered or are being redelivered.

“Customers can check their accounts to see updates around expected delivery times. We also thank Lakeville PD for finding and returning the packages, and we’re working to support their investigation,” an Amazon consultant stated in an announcement.

The assertion was shared earlier than police introduced that the driving force had spoken to investigators and wasn’t going through prices. NBC10 Boston has reached out for additional remark.

Assonet resident Blake Brangan bought a message from Amazon saying his bundle had been misplaced — it is since arrived.

“It’s just really crazy to just toss them out in the woods like that, but thankfully for that officer that found them,” he stated, whereas including, “It’s stressful during the holidays, I really fell bad for whoever it was.”
