Council Member Althea Stevens’ workplace at East one hundred and seventieth Road and Jerome Ave. was the goal of a bomb menace on Could 6, 2025, the NYPD confirmed.

Council Member Althea Stevens’ workplace at 1377 Jerome Ave. in Mt. Eden was hit with a bomb menace Tuesday afternoon, prompting a police response, in keeping with authorities.
Stevens’ workplace stays closed Wednesday and is working just about. Workers stated they may not touch upon the character of the incident or why Stevens could have been focused.
Stevens launched a press release on Instagram following the incident:
“Earlier at present, a bomb menace was made towards the Workplace of Council Member Althea Stevens. We wish to reassure the neighborhood that we’re taking this case very significantly and are working intently with the NYPD and acceptable authorities to make sure the protection of our workers and the encompassing space.
As a precaution, the premises have been completely assessed, and all mandatory security protocols are being adopted. We stay dedicated to the well-being of our staff and neighbors, and we thank everybody for his or her persistence and cooperation throughout this time. Regardless of this unlucky incident, our workplace stays devoted to doing the work of the individuals and serving the residents of District 16.”
