Certainly one of two devices lately stolen from the band Coronary heart as they have been set to embark on the “An Evening With Heart” tour in Atlantic Metropolis, New Jersey, has been recovered.

On Tuesday, police in Atlantic Metropolis introduced that they recovered a Fender Telecaster that belonged to the band after officers adopted the person charged with stealing the devices, Garfield Bennett, 57, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, after the theft.

Officers mentioned that Bennett “was observed giving the guitar to a woman who put the guitar in a vehicle” alongside the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue.

Investigators tracked the automobile utilizing automated license readers after this incident and pulled it over shortly afterwards, police mentioned.

The lady voluntarily turned over the instrument and, police mentioned, she informed officers that she had purchased the guitar from Bennett.

The guitar has been turned over to representatives of the Exhausting Rock Atlantic Metropolis, and officers mentioned it will likely be returned to the Coronary heart band members.

“The continued use of advancing technology and the hard work and determination from our detectives and patrol officers led to the quick recovery of one of the missing instruments,” mentioned Chief James A. Sarkos in an announcement on the incident. “The Atlantic City Police Department embraces technology that allows our officers to investigate and combat crime.”

Officers mentioned that the theft occurred round 2 a.m. on Might 30, 2025, on the Exhausting Rock Atlantic Metropolis contained in the Exhausting Rock Dwell at Etess Enviornment.

The devices — a guitar and a mandolin — belonged to the band Coronary heart, who have been enjoying a live performance on the venue.

The placement of the mandolin continues to be being investigated.
