Almost 50 canines, cats and a hen discovered residing in squalid circumstances at Lengthy Island dwelling

A lady was charged with animal cruelty after officers stated practically 50 animals have been discovered residing in horrific, squalid circumstances inside a Lengthy Island dwelling.

Suffolk County SPCA despatched detectives to the house in Ronkonkoma and located the deplorable state the animals have been residing in, which was decided to be uninhabitable. There have been practically 40 canines, in addition to eight cats and a hen residing inside the house, in keeping with the SPCA.

Detectives stated rubbish, feces, urine and different particles have been discovered strewn across the dwelling. The putrid smells of rot, urine, ammonia and mildew have been so intense, it was tough for detectives to breathe inside the home.

Filling the house have been filth canine cages riddled with matter fur, together with empty water bowls.

The lady who lives on the dwelling, 53-year-old Susan Lombardi, was charged on Saturday with misdemeanor animal cruelty and different fees. She is due again in courtroom on March 7. Lawyer info for Lombardi was not instantly accessible.
