‘Rotting’ corpse flower in uncommon bloom at Brooklyn Botanic Backyard for a restricted time

Normally, individuals attempt to keep away from something thought-about “rotting.”

However a uncommon flower on show in Brooklyn is predicted to draw giant crowds this weekend.

The notorious flower identified for its rotting, putrid scent began blooming on Friday. It is referred to as the “corpse flower” — in any other case generally known as titus-arum or amorphophallus titanum — and the Brooklyn Botanic Backyard says it is smelly bloom will solely final a few days.
