The ousting of Chief of Inner Affairs Miguel Iglesias got here simply in the future after Chief of Division Jeffrey Maddrey submitted his resignation earlier than being accused of buying and selling substantial time beyond regulation approvals for sexual favors. Maddrey denies these allegations.

Mayor Eric Adams reacted to the allegations on Saturday, saying they have been “extremely concerning and alarming.”
