Second boy arrested for beginning Evesham, NJ, wildfire, police say

A second boy has been arrested after, police declare, the 14-year-old took half in deliberately setting a wildfire in Evesham, NJ, on Oct. 30, 2024.

In line with police, the boy, from Marlton, NJ, was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with aggravated arson and inflicting or risking widespread harm or injury.

The arrest is the second tied to this incident as one other 14-year-old boy, additionally from Marlton, NJ, was arrested on related expenses on Nov. 7, 2024.

The boy, officers stated, has been lodged in Middlesex Juvenile Detention Middle pending his first court docket look.

Investigators additionally stated the Oct. 30 hearth could also be related to a different hearth that occurred within the space of Sycamore Drive on Nov. 7.
