The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) mentioned an earthquake occurred within the Moodus part of East Haddam Wednesday evening.

The two.3 magnitude quake occurred simply after 7:30 p.m.

It was felt in areas reminiscent of Middletown, Cromwell, Glastonbury and Hartford, in response to USGS.

The USGS mentioned the earthquake was reported about two kilometers away from Moodus, and it was 2.5 km in depth.

Colchester officers mentioned residents on the town reported a loud growth, which was later decided to be from the quake.

It is the second earthquake reported within the state this week. A small 1.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in Stamford on Monday morning.

That earthquake occurred about 5 kilometers away from North Stamford, in shut proximity to the Merritt Parkway.

No further data was instantly accessible.
