The Trump administration aggressively criticized activists and elected officers who raised a Rainbow Flag on the Stonewall Nationwide Monument three days after the Nationwide Park Service eliminated the flag from the flagpole on federal land.

The assertion got here after elected officers convened a 4 p.m. flag-raising ceremony on Feb. 12 on the Stonewall Nationwide Monument, the place a big crowd gathered across the flagpole. Earlier within the day, elected officers rallied on the website, blasting the federal authorities and vowing to revive the flag later within the day. Some elected officers introduced a flag to the flagpole, however activists in the end stepped as much as set up the flag and lift it up the flagpole.

The Trump administration, in the meantime, sought to attract a connection between the flag-raising ceremony and final month’s snowstorm.

As an alternative, the company stated, “it would be a better use of [the city’s] time to get the trash buildup off city streets, ensure there are no more avoidable deaths, and work to keep the power on for the people of New York City.”

“Today’s political pageantry shows how utterly incompetent and misaligned the New York City officials are with the problems their city is facing,” the assertion added.

The Division of the Inside falsely claimed all authorities businesses are following “longstanding federal flag policy that has been in place for decades,” ignoring the truth that former President Joe Biden’s administration oversaw the set up of the Rainbow Flag on federal land on the Stonewall Nationwide Monument.

“Recent adjustments to flag displays at the monument were made to ensure consistency with federal guidance,” the assertion added, apparently referring to the division’s new steerage on Jan. 21 stipulating that “only the US Flag, flags of the DOI, and the POW/MIA flag will be flown by the NPS…”
