New Yorkers experiencing delays of their SNAP (Supplemental Vitamin Help Program) and money help advantages will obtain reduction by way of a lawsuit settlement reached with the Metropolis of New York, the Authorized Assist Society introduced on Monday.

New York News contacted the HRA for remark concerning the settlement and is awaiting a response. 

The lawsuit was filed in 2023, alleging the town didn’t course of functions and recertifications for SNAP and CA inside the 30-day timeframe required by federal and state regulation.
