A large sinkhole that opened on a Westchester County freeway early Monday, forcing street closures, was weather-related, authorities mentioned in a press release Monday.

Chopper 4 was over the scene as a bulldozer cruised via an enormous sinkhole on the Noticed Mill River Parkway, at exit 13 (Farragut Avenue) in Hastings-on-Hudson. The roadway was shut down in each instructions for a time, however the northbound facet reopened by about 11 a.m. Efforts have been being made to reopen the southbound lanes.
