“This city must move ahead. We need a mayor who has experience and knows what’s going on,” Boyce stated. “I’ve watched him for years, as [Mayor Adams] grew and as he earned this city and made himself ready. Another four years is what we need, and then we’ll go from there.”

“I’m here to proudly support someone who has supported our community,” Monserrate stated. Lots of you understand that about 10 months in the past, we began a marketing campaign about all of the crime that was on Roosevelt Avenue. The prostitution, the road gangs, the cartels. Effectively, our mayor responded to the wants of our neighborhood, and he restored Roosevelt Avenue. It’s nonetheless a piece in progress, however he restored it, and he fought again towards all of the criminality. I bear in mind what this metropolis was within the 70s, and the 80s and the 90s. We don’t wish to return to that. Eric Adams is the proper man for the proper time, and he’ll hold us secure. We’re proud to help him.”

Adams, who was elected mayor in 2021 as a Democrat, is working on this upcoming election as an Impartial. He faces stiff competitors from different contenders, together with Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, fellow Impartial Andrew Cuomo and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa.
