A block in Crown Heights has been named the 2025 Greenest Block in Brooklyn, by the Brooklyn Botanical Backyard.

The residential block, Jap Parkway between Franklin and Bedford Avenues in Crown Heights, is maintained by the Crown Heights Keepers block affiliation.

It’s the first-ever residential winner that’s predominantly composed of condo buildings, that has managed to combine greenery right into a relatively concrete-based metropolis.
