A person who escaped from a jail in New Hampshire on Saturday was present in Norwalk on Sunday and he has been taken into custody, in accordance with Norwalk police.

Law enforcement officials responded to the fuel station at 331 West Ave. in Norwalk simply earlier than 10 a.m. on Sunday when an worker noticed a person who was sporting solely a T-shirt and underwear and had blood on his arms get out of a pickup, police stated.

The person left the fuel station whereas the worker was on the telephone with dispatchers and officers had been in a position to decide that the truck had been stolen from Claremont, New Hampshire.

Officers responded to look the world and located the truck on the Shell fuel station at 94 West Ave. 

When police went into the shop, they discovered the suspect, a 33-year-old Brooklyn, New York man, sporting solely a flannel jacket and underwear, in accordance with police, and he had a number of cuts on his arms and toes.  

Contained in the truck, police discovered a torn orange jumpsuit.

They stated they decided that he had thrown clothes over a fence on the Sullivan County Home of Corrections on Saturday, climbed by way of barbed wire and escaped.

The person was taken into custody and he was transported to Norwalk Hospital to be handled for his accidents. 

He has been charged with fugitive from justice and larceny of a motorized vehicle. Bond was set at $500,000 and he’s due in court docket on July 25.
