A person from Millville, New Jersey, has been arrested after, officers declare, he shot a firearm, then rammed his automobile right into a police cruiser, injuring two officers, when officers arrived to research the sound of gunfire.

In line with police, 25-year-old John Melendez, of Millville, NJ, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault on an officer, weapon possession and associated offenses following an incident that unfolded at about 3:11 a.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

On this case, officers stated, at the moment, two detectives with the Atlantic Metropolis Police Division made their strategy to the 200 block of Turnpike Highway after they heard, what they suspected was, the sound of a gunshot.
