Police stated 22 canines have been seized and a person has been arrested for animal cruelty in Oxford on Tuesday.
First Selectman George Temple stated the canines have been seized on Little Punkup Highway round 10:15 a.m.
Police and animal management officers searched a house and located practically two dozen canines, a lot of which have been affected by numerous medical situations.
The situations included extreme flea infestation, sight impairment, poor grooming and pores and skin rashes, based on the primary selectman. One of many canines was additionally discovered to be pregnant.
State police stated the entire canines have been taken to native veterinary clinics for remedy.
