Authorities are investigating the practice dying of a 24-year-old lady in a Manhattan subway station.
Emergency crews responding to a name on the Union Sq. station round 10:30 p.m. Monday discovered the girl lifeless on the scene. Police say she had walked onto the tracks herself.
It is not clear why the girl was on the tracks, however authorities say she was attempting to climb again onto the platform when she was struck by a northbound L practice.
Trains had been rerouted or delayed for a time within the space as authorities investigated.
No criminality is suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
