A mayor of a suburban New York city is making headlines as soon as once more for his fiery habits after allegedly making an attempt to bodily take away the police chief of the division for refusing his orders.

Spring Valley Mayor Alan Simon refused to reply questions Friday in regards to the reported incident, when witnesses say he put his fingers on Chief Richard Oleszcuk.

Insiders say the mayor turned outraged this week over a street development venture accepted by the city’s board trustees. Simon reportedly ordered the chief to have his officers arrest employees and impound their autos. The chief refused.

On the police division on Thursday, witnesses reportedly noticed Simon get bodily with the chief.

“I, and others, witnessed Mayor Simon physically and forcefully place both of his hands upon the Chief of Police in an outrageous, unlawful attempt to illegally and physically remove the Chief from the police department building. The mayor’s behavior was erratic,” one witness wrote.

The one downside? Mayor Simon doesn’t have the authority to take away the chief from his publish. Solely the trustees can legally take that motion.

When reached on the town on Friday, Simon wouldn’t immediately reply questions in regards to the incident on Thursday. When informed witnesses alleged watching the altercation, he retorted, “Are they now? How wonderful is that.”

It’s not clear whether or not there’s video of the alleged altercation on the police division between Simon and Oleszcuk.

The Rockland County District Lawyer’s Workplace didn’t instantly reply to questions on a possible prison investigation.
