The dad and mom of two younger youngsters had been arrested after, officers declare, they left their youngsters alone on Memorial Day weekend on the Jersey Shore in order that they might exit ingesting.

Based on police, Felix Rodriquez, 43, and Lydia Monterrosa, 38, each of Jersey Metropolis, New Jersey, had been arrested and charged with youngster endangerment and different offenses after, police allege, they left their youngsters unattended on Sunday, Could 25, 2025.

Police stated that they had been alerted to the incident at about 8:45 p.m., as a involved citizen flagged down officers and alerted them to a residence alongside the 4900 block of Harbor Seashore Boulevard, in Brigantine, New Jersey.

In that property, officers stated, officers discovered two youngsters — an 8-year-old and a 1-year-old — alone contained in the property.

Upon additional investigation, officers stated that the officers discovered that no dad and mom or guardians had been on the dwelling or close by the residence.

The officers acquired in touch with Rodriguez and Monterrosa and discovered they had been nowhere close by and instructed them to return to the property, officers stated.

Upon their return, police stated, the pair exhibited indicators of being impaired as a consequence of being drunk.

Each dad and mom have been arrested and charged on this incident, officers stated.
