A person is going through prices after he allegedly attacked a flight attendant onboard a aircraft leaving Bradley Worldwide Airport on Tuesday.
The U.S. Division of Justice mentioned a person in his 20s was arrested for assaulting a crew member on an American Airways flight that was headed to Chicago, Illinois, round 9:30 p.m.
Officers mentioned that half-hour to an hour into the flight, the person stood up, began taking off his shirt and ran to the again of the aircraft yelling “Help me.”
He then grabbed a flight attendant who was seated and shouted “you’re coming with me,” earlier than forcibly bringing them to the bottom, in accordance with officers.
The person allegedly tried to tug the flight attendant up the aisle. Passengers of the flight intervened and the person was introduced again to his seat, the place he continued to behave erratically and made incoherent statements, authorities mentioned.
The captain declared an emergency and the flight was diverted again to Bradley Airport. When the aircraft landed safely, state police arrested the person and he was taken to a neighborhood hospital for analysis.
He appeared in courtroom on Wednesday and has one other courtroom look on Friday. The FBI is aiding with the investigation.
