Northwell Well being CEO Michael Dowling is ready to step down after greater than 20 years on the helm of New York’s largest not-for-profit well being care system, Northwell Well being introduced Wednesday.

Dowling will step down on Oct. 1 and develop into CEO Emeritus, serving as an advisor whereas specializing in instructing and writing, in accordance with Northwell Well being, which can also be New York’s largest non-public employer.
