A Staten Island man admitted to setting two rubber intercourse toys on fireplace, which led to a three-alarm blaze that engulfed not less than two properties, in line with courtroom paperwork.

Harry Torres, 37, was arrested and charged with two counts of arson following the Monday afternoon fireplace on North Burgher Avenue, courtroom paperwork present. Torres is accused of deliberately setting a hearth within the yard of 1 property, which then unfold to 2 neighboring homes and two motor autos, the prison grievance states.

The FDNY responded to the scene round 3:20 p.m. and was in a position to extinguish the hearth.

When questioned by Fireplace Marshall Joseph Conforti, Torres allegedly advised him, “I started the fire. I was in the backyard at my house and I lit two sex toys on fire,” the grievance mentioned.

Torres was additionally charged with reckless endangerment and prison mischief, and was arrested on the scene, in line with legislation enforcement sources.

“This was a heavy, deep-seeded fire that necessitated the use of three alarms,” fireplace officers mentioned, who mentioned the hearth was deemed suspicious.

Nobody was contained in the properties on the time of fireside, the borough commander mentioned, and no accidents had been reported.
